Child Development Program
Our high school has dormitories for girls and boys, a dining hall, a canteen-cafeteria, a
football field, a volleyball court, wireless internet access, etc. various events are organized
regarding social, cultural, sports and technical activities. our child care and youth services
child development program has started to accept students with a quota of 40 people since
2014-2015. We are trying to provide education to our students by using all the opportunities
of modern education with our academic staff. there is a drama workshop that our students can
benefit from. The duration of education in the program is 2 years. our students will graduate
with 120 ECTS credits at the end of 2 years. the program offers theoretical and practical,
compulsory and elective vocational courses. during the education period in our school,
various activities and studies are carried out in cooperation with our academicians, students
and school staff, especially for kindergartens.
Purpose of the Program:
The main purpose of the child development program is to train personnel who embrace the
importance of child development and education, who are able to recognize the developmental
characteristics of children aged 0-6, who have gained knowledge about their habits and needs,
and who can take precautions against the problems that children may encounter. ın addition,
the program aims to train technical personnel who can recognize children in need of special
education, who can organize an appropriate educational environment for these children, and
who are conscious about maternal health. the other purposes of the program can be
summarized as; to train qualified personnel who are informed about the symptoms of diseases
that can be seen in children of the age group mentioned above, who know the ways of
protection and patient care techniques in this regard, who have basic knowledge and skills in
first aid; to train personnel who can prepare educational toys suitable for the developmental
levels of children and developing technology, who can maintain and repair the machines,
tools and equipment they use, and who can prepare daily menus and foods in accordance with
the principles in the workplace.
Fields of Work:
They can work as administrators, teachers and teacher assistants in private nurseries and
kindergartens, administrators, teachers and teacher assistants in special education and
rehabilitation centers, master instructors in kindergartens and primary schools affiliated with
the ministry of national education, parent educators in private research and consultancy
companies, caregivers in maternal and child health centers, ınstitutions providing ınpatient
treatment and social services and child protection ınstitutions, designers in children's
publications and toys sectors, child care personnel for the children of working parents.
graduates can also gain the right to register for the child development department and
preschool teaching undergraduate programs in the vertical transfer exam if there is a quota in
their fields by benefiting from the "regulation on transition to undergraduate programs for
vocational school graduates and open education associate degree graduates".

Child development program assistant trainer; due to his/her duty in the field of work, he/she is
an intermediate staff member between the child development teacher and the child
development technician, who has more theoretical knowledge than the technician and more
practical skills than the child development teacher.
